David Friedmann
President
David, RMU’16, was a four-year member of the Men’s Hockey team as a forward while earning his degree in Marketing. It was a very successful stretch for the team, as they won the Three Rivers Classic Championship in 2012 & 2015, defeating #5 Miami and #8 UMass-Lowell in the title games, Atlantic Hockey Regular season titles in 2014-15 and 15-16, and won the Atlantic Hockey Playoff title, earning the team’s first trip to the NCAA Tournament in 2013-14. After graduating, David played professional hockey in the ECHL for the Fort Wayne Komets, Wichita Thunder and Florida Everblades as well as for teams in Denmark, Norway and Slovakia. David joined the Pittsburgh College Hockey Foundation at its inception, playing an active role in fundraising and raising awareness for the programs. Outside of his current RMU hockey involvement, he is the Vice President of the Toronto Jr. Canadians Hockey club and the COO of FGC Holdings.
Denny Urban
Vice President
Denny, a RMU Athletics Hall of Famer, graduated in 2011 with a major in Accounting and minor in Sport Management. He spent four years as a defender on the Men’s Hockey Team serving as an Alternate Captain his senior year. Some of his accomplishments as a Colonial are: 2010-11 Atlantic Hockey Defender of the Year and First Team, 2008-09 and 2009-10 College Hockey America First Team, 2007-08 CHA All-Rookie Team. He is a member of the RMU Men’s hockey All-Time Team and leads all defensemen in career points. After RMU he played professionally from 2011-2016 in the ECHL (Reading Royals & Kalamazoo Wings), AHL(Worcester Sharks, San Antonio Rampage & Springfield Falcons) and German DEL (Straubing Tigers). Additionally, he served as a linesman for USA Hockey, the ECHL and AHL until 2022. Professionally, he is FP&A Manager for Abarta Coca-Cola.
Andrew Wisneski

Andrew graduated from RMU in 2016 with a degree in Finance and a MBA. While at RMU, he attended many hockey games as a fan and spent two seasons as the manager for the Women’s Hockey Team, culminating with their CHA title season and first NCAA Tournament appearance in 2016-17. Since graduating, Andrew was involved in the RMU hockey community as a statistician and joined the Pittsburgh College Hockey foundation at its inception, focusing on public relations and social media. Professionally, he is a Vice President, Business Analytics Lead for PNC bank.
Jim Vitale
Treasurer
Jim graduated from RMU in 1981 with a degree in Management. He’s been involved with the hockey programs since their inception in 2004 as a self-described flunkee – providing assistance in whatever ways possible and supporting the teams over the years. He’s also the chairman for the annual golf outing, which is happening for the 18th time in 2023. He joined the Pittsburgh College Hockey foundation at its inception, serving as the treasurer and has been extremely helpful in planning events. Professionally, Jim is an account executive for Tyler Mountain Water Company.
Emily Curlett
Emily, RMU’21 spent four years at RMU as a defender on the Women’s Hockey Team and majoring in Organizational Leadership. She served as an Alternate Captain during her senior year in which the team won the CHA title & advanced to the NCAA Tournament. Among her individual accomplishments as a Colonial are CHA First-Team honors in 2019-20, Second team honors in 2018-19 and Rookie Team in 2017-18, as well as All-USCHO Third team honors in 2020-21. Curlett was named as a member of the RMU All-Time Team as a result of all of these accomplishments. She completed her collegiate career at Ohio State University, where she pursued graduate studies in Public Management and won a National Championship with the Buckeyes. Currently, she is playing as a member of the Professional Women’s Hockey Player’s Association (PWHPA) and is an assistant coach and women’s hockey ambassador with the Ohio AAA Blue Jackets girls program.
Josh Jones
Josh is a member of the RMU class of 2012. He graduated with a degree in Mechanical Engineering. He spent four seasons as a defender for the Men’s Hockey team where he provided sound, disciplined defensive play and chipped in offensively as well, especially in senior year. His tenure with the team was highlighted by a number of signature wins, including a sweep of #1 ranked Miami in January 2010. Josh also earned All-Academic honors during his RMU tenure and has been an active alum and supporter of the hockey programs since graduating. Professionally, he is a Technical Sales Representative with Lincoln Electric.
Brendan Jamison
Brendan, RMU’13, played defense for the Men’s hockey team for four seasons, serving as captain his senior year. He was a double major, earning degrees in Finance and Accounting. Jamison and the Colonials won the Inaugural Three Rivers Classic Championship in 2012, defeating #5 Miami 1-0 in the title game. He was a member of the AHA All-Academic team 3 times in his RMU career. After graduating, he played professionally for the Greenville Road Warriors and Utah Grizzlies in the ECHL as well as the Hull Stingrays in the EIHL (United Kingdom). He also served as an assistant coach for Mt. Lebanon High School’s Varsity team from 2017-2020. Professionally, he is an Account Executive for WOLF Container & Chemical
